We’re overjoyed to share a #REALWEDDING from one of Edenton, North Carolina’s historical venues: 1767 Chowan County Courthouse. This impressive courthouse is not only one of the oldest courthouses in America, but the lush green that overlooks the Albemarle Sound makes it one of Edenton’s favorite wedding spots.

Our couple knew that their schedule was extremely busy since they knew they both worked very demanding jobs, while Rhonda was busy raising two little ones and preparing her oldest for graduation -btw, we were also asked to plan her graduation party- and David managing two teens, that hiring a full-service wedding planner was an easy decision.

Since COVID was in full force at that time and states were locked down, they had no choice but to wait patiently in hopes that the ban would be lifted. Thankfully, everything worked out and they were able to say “I Do” exactly where she had dreamed for it to take place, in the charming historical district of Edenton, North Carolina. This little town has so much to offer for someone looking to not only get married, but to raise a family, a quick get-away to a bed and breakfast, or to just hang out at one of the restaurants. No matter the reason, you will find yourself wanting to visit as much as possible.

The homes lining the streets where they tied the knot were spectacular with their wrap-around porches, and the homeowners had the best view of all as the bridal party, and the bride, made their way down the aisle. Oh, let’s not forget the gorgeous backdrop of Edenton Bay and the Roanoke River Lighthouse for their guests to enjoy.

Today’s feature shines the spotlight on Rhonda and David, a handsome couple overflowing with love and joy to share with the world. It was truly an honor to help them bring this sparkly and sophisticated wedding to life. And the pictures? They are absolutely divine. Enjoy these photos by Katie Myrick Photography
